Global bell pepper production is increasing to meet the rising demand. Bell pepper production has increased by about 20 million between 2000 and 2019 as world growers meet demand in many parts of the globe. The US alone has increased its import of bell pepper from 1.46 billion pounds to 1.84 billion pounds between 2017 and 2021, representing an increase of 26.5%.
