According to data from the Peruvian Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI), agro exports in Peru have grown 0.2% year-over-year in the first five months of 2023, to reach an impressive sum of $3.52 billion.
Fresh produce, particularly fruit, has seen the largest export growth. Top-earning products include grapes with $678 million (20%), avocados with $462 million (14%), mangos with $206 million (6.1%) and blueberries with $171 million (5.1%)
Some of these products showed the highest growth compared to 2022: avocados at 39%, blueberries at 27%, and grapes at 18%.
